After leaving Berlin, Ms. DeYoung taught at London Central for 34 yrs, retiring in 2005.
In 2007, when the school closed, they invited her to be the guest speaker.

Ms. DeYoung has been diagnosed with Wernicke's Disease-Korsakoff Syndrome. She has been in four hospitals since the first of November and is now in a facility close to her sister in Georgia. Her condition is not good.
After leaving BAHS Ms. DeYoung went to London Central finishing her career with DoDDs.
