Samantha Langdon '85 † 21 January 2014 †
10 November 2014 Dedication in Berlin First of all I would like to thank you all very much for reaching out to me and remembering Sam during your special time in Berlin. Some of Sam's fondest memories were her times in Berlin with you all. I know she would have loved to be there with you today. I have enjoyed seeing all of the pictures on Facebook of the trip so far! And thank you to all who have kept in touch on Facebook and reached out during Sam's short battle with cancer and since. It has been a very difficult time. Most of you know how close Sam and I always were and that we had an incredible bond so you know a piece of my heart was taken away the day she passed away. Thank God, I was able to spend pretty much every day with her from the time she was diagnosed with cancer to the day that she passed away. I am so thankful for that. When Cate contacted me, my first memory was when Sam was a Junior and I was in 8th grade her and Rachael (Hennessee) Krohn '86 actually allowed me to share their locker which I believe was on the Jr/Sr hall. Who does that? Ha! Ha! It is funny how that memory came back after all of these years. I am glad that you all have so many stories of your own to keep Sam's memory alive. She would love this attention. She was such a sweet, kind person and I know she was loved very much by you all. I hope you all have a fantastic visit in Berlin and thank you so much again for taking the time to remember Sam. Please keep in touch! - Rachelle Langdon |
