Berlin Brats

Fredericksburg, TX - December 2003

Texas Brats
December 2003
On the weekend of 7-8 Dec 2003, a group of fun-loving Texas Brats gathered in Fredericksburg, TX to spend time with brat friends and their families. We chose Fredericksburg because the town was having a Pearl Harbor Day memorial event at the Pacific War Museum. The Admiral Nimitz Foundation built the museum in Fredericksburg because it was Admiral Chester W. Nimitz's birthplace. Fredericksburg was also a German settlement, so we knew we would find a good authentic Germany restaurant to round out our Brat gathering. Four-star General Michael W. Hagee, the guest of honor, was kind enough to pose with us for photographs after giving an inspiring speech for the memorial event. Fredericksburg was also having a Christmas festival, where we enjoyed shopping, sightseeing and eating.
